We support children with their speech, language, social interaction, fluency and literacy. We provide online speech therapy appointments – This means kids can experience speech therapy in their most comfortable place, their own home.

Before working as a speech pathologist, I worked as a medical researcher. I worked at the Queensland Brain Institute and Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. I am currently undertaking a PhD project at The University of Queensland (UQ). This PhD project examines current clinical practices for children with traumatic brain injuries.

As a paediatric speech pathologist, I work with children exclusively. I have experience working with young toddlers through to late-stage teens in a wide-variety of areas such as – speech clarity, language impairments, complex communication and disability, reading and writing, stuttering and social communication.

Kids’ Speech Therapy in Moreland

Speech Clinic Moreland supports children across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Moreland area. We are strong advocates for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to reduce future impacts on social and academic success.

We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Early is always best. Speech Pathologists can provide treatment and complete assessments to children from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This provides children with the best chance to be school-ready. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged kids to reach their full academic and social potential.
