Hello, we are Speech Clinic Hampton. We are a Speech Pathologist for children that provides services in the Hampton area. We support 0-18yo children with their speech, language, social interaction, fluency and literacy. We provide online speech therapy appointments – This means that children can experience speech therapy in their most comfortable environment, their home.

Our Clinician and Founder, Lauren, is a PhD Candidate and Research assistant at UQ.

Prior to working as a speech pathologist, I worked as a medical researcher. I worked at the Queensland Brain Institute and Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. I am currently undertaking a PhD project at The University of Queensland (UQ). This PhD project examines current clinical practices for children with traumatic brain injuries.

As a paediatric clinician, I work exclusively with children. I have experience working with young toddlers through to late-stage teens in a range of areas including – speech clarity, language impairments, complex communication and disability, reading and writing, stuttering and social communication.

Kids’ Speech Therapy in Hampton

Speech Clinic supports children with speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Hampton location. We strongly advocate for early intervention. Speech Pathologists can provide treatment and complete assessments to kids from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This gives our children the best chance to be ready for school. Sometimes speech, literacy, fluency, language and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged children to reach their full academic and social potential.
