Hi, we are Speech Clinic Cronulla. We're a Paediatric Speech Therapy service that provides services in the Cronulla area. We help 0-18yo children with their speech, fluency, language, literacy and social interaction. Prior to working as a speech pathologist, I worked in the medical research field. I worked at the Queensland Brain Institute and Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. I am currently undertaking a PhD project at The University of Queensland (UQ). This PhD project examines current clinical practices for children with traumatic brain injuries.

I work exclusively with children as a paediatric clinician. I have experience working with young toddlers through to late-stage teens in a wide-variety of areas such as – speech clarity, language impairments, complex communication and disability, reading and writing, stuttering and social communication.

Kids’ Speech Therapy in Cronulla

Speech Clinic Cronulla provides speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Cronulla area. We advocate for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to minimise future impacts on social and academic success.

We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Earliest is always best. Speech Pathologists can provide treatment and complete assessments to kids from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This gives kids their best chance to be ready for school. Sometimes speech, literacy, fluency, language and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We love to support school-aged children and adolescents to reach their full academic and social potential.
