Kids’ Speech Therapy in Bayswater
Speech Clinic provides speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Bayswater area. We advocate for early intervention. Recognising signs of potential speech, language, social, or literacy difficulties is important, as this helps us to reduce future impacts on academic success and a child’s social life.
They’ll grow out of it, right?
We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Early is always best. Speech and Language Pathologists can complete assessments and provide treatment to children from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This provides children with the best chance to be school-ready. Sometimes speech, literacy, fluency, language and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged kids to reach their academic and social potential.
