Frequently Asked Questions

We're Here To Answer Your Questions

Speech pathology is the study and clinical practice of assessing, treating, and preventing communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults. The word stems from two key words, ‘speech’ reflecting expressive communication, and ‘pathology’ meaning the study and treatment of disorders. Together, these words refer to someone who plans and delivers therapy for communication and swallowing disorders.

Speech Clinic™ provides assessments and treatment to children between 16 months to 18 years of age.

Yes, Speech Clinic™ is compliant for claims through Medicare and private health insurance.

Our sessions are tailored to your child’s needs. Generally, they involve engaging activities and exercises designed to target specific speech, language, literacy, and social communication goals.

We provide strategies and resources for parents to reinforce therapy goals at home. This might include specific exercises, language-rich activities, or recommended reading materials. We believe in a collaborative approach between therapists and families for the best outcomes.
