We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. As soon as possible is always best. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This provides children with the best chance to be school-ready. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become noticeable throughout a child’s schooling years.
