Speech Clinic Marsden provides speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Marsden location. We are strong advocates for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to reduce future impacts on social and academic success.

We are often asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Straight away is always best. Speech Pathologists can provide therapy and complete speech pathology assessments to kids from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This provides children with the best chance to be school-ready. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become noticeable throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged kids to reach their academic and social potential.
