Speech Clinic provides speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Wheelers Hill area. We advocate for early intervention. Recognising signs of potential speech, language, social, or literacy difficulties is important, as this helps us to reduce future impacts on academic success and a child’s social life.

We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. As soon as possible is always best. Speech Pathologists can provide treatment and complete assessments to children from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This gives our children the best chance to be ready for school. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love supporting school-aged children and adolescents to reach their full academic and social potential.
