Kids’ Speech Therapy in Hampton Park
Speech Clinic supports children across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Hampton Park location. We strongly advocate for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to minimise future impacts on social and academic success.
Can I just wait and see?
We are often asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Early is always best. Speech Pathologists can provide therapy and complete speech pathology assessments to children from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This gives kids their best chance to be ready for school. Sometimes speech, literacy, fluency, language and social interaction difficulties can become present throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged children and adolescents to reach their academic and social potential.
