We support children with their speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction. We provide telehealth appointments online – This means that children can experience speech therapy in their most natural environment, their own home.

Before working as a speech pathologist, I worked in the medical research field. I worked at the Queensland Brain Institute and Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. I am currently undertaking a PhD project at The University of Queensland (UQ). This PhD project examines current clinical practices for children with traumatic brain injuries.

I work exclusively with children as a paediatric clinician. I have experience working with infants through to late-stage teens in a wide-variety of areas – speech clarity, language impairments, complex communication and disability, reading and writing, stuttering and social communication.

Kids’ Speech Therapy in Buderim

Speech Clinic provides speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Buderim area. We are strong advocates for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to minimise future impacts on social and academic success.

We’re always asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. Straight away is always best. Speech and Language Pathologists can provide treatment and complete assessments to kids from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This provides children with the best chance to be school-ready. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We also love to support school-aged kids to reach their academic and social potential.
