Speech Clinic Orange supports children with speech therapy across their childhood and teenage years who live in the Orange location. We are strong advocates for early intervention. It’s critically important to recognise signs of potential speech, language, literacy or social difficulties, as this helps us to reduce future impacts on academic success and a child’s social life.

Frequently, we’re asked, “when is the best age to start speech therapy?”. As soon as possible is always best. Speech and Language Pathologists can provide therapy and complete speech pathology assessments to kids from 16 months to 18 years old. There is strong evidence supporting early intervention. When a speech therapist can support a child from birth until 4-5 years old, they can reduce the long-term impacts of a communication or language disorder. This gives our children the best chance to be ready for school. Sometimes speech, language, literacy, fluency and social interaction difficulties can become apparent throughout a child’s schooling years. We love to support school-aged kids to reach their full academic and social potential.
